WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

Your day starts when we collect you at the Walvis Bay Waterfront. Then you will be taken on a scenic drive along the Walvis Bay Lagoon and salt mines to Pelican Point. We stop along the way to take photos of our countless flamingos, pelicans and large flocks of cormorants and a great variety of other birds and wildlife.

After approximately one hour we reach Pelican Point, where we will get the kayaks ready for paddling.

Pelican Point is home to upto  50 000 Cape Fur Seals all year. They are friendly and playfull and not scared of the kayaks, even when you paddle right next to them. We stay on the protected side of the peninsula and spend around two hours on the water depending on general weather conditions.

Your guide will use a waterproof camera for some photos which we will email to you immediately after your tour.

The kayaking part of the tour concludes approximately at 12:00

After a quick snack we get into our 4x4 and head towards the Namib desert. Experience the adventure and beauty of the oldest desert on Earth, the Namib! There are many interesting sights to see including desert adapted fauna and flora, giant sand dunes and the legendary Sandwich Harbour.

We navigate the adrenaline pumping, narrow coastal passage where massive dunes meet the Atlantic ocean in order to reach Sandwich Bay.

Once we are at Sandwich Bay, we will set up your lunch and you have some time to explore this spectacular place.

After lunch we head into the dune belt and look for local wildlife like Springbuck, Ostrich, Oryx, Jackal, and if we are very lucky, maybe even a Brown Hyena!
