Kingdom of the Fjords
Kingdom of the Fjords is a daytrip that first starts from the Strandkaiterminalen at 10.00 with a Catamaran boat that takes you through the amazing archipelago and up to the gateway of the Sognefjord. When in Skjerjehamn you will taste possibly the best fish soup in the world! The hosts at Skjerjehamn will show you their brand new Blue Garden – where you learn about the story of Skjerjehamn, the importance of the salmon trade in Norway and how the sea can help solve some of the biggest issues our planet has today!
We will then take the catamaran up to Gulatinget – one of the oldest Viking Parliaments in the world. And the big brother to the world-famous Thingvellir in Iceland. Here you learn about how the Vikings did their politics, how they lived and not to mention how big of an impact this Viking parliament had on our society today!
PS: The hosts are Vikings!
