WHEN AND WHERE WILL WE START?

The tour starts at 7:30 am from Budva. The next pick-up is in the city of Kotor. From Kotor to Budva is only a 25 km distance. In the off-season, we need 25 minutes of the ride between the cities, but in the very high season, we need 45 minutes which is written in our itinerary. If guests take the private tour we will pick up them from their accommodations.

NOTE: MH Travel Agency is the only one that organizes the Herzegovina with visiting of 3 cities departures from Kotor, and Budva, so guests should be aware that a tour can last up to 14-15 hours.  Because of that, it is not recommended for small kids. 
 

WHERE WE WILL GO?

We will go to the Kravice Waterfalls, the City of Medjugorje, the Apparition Hill, and Pocitelj

WATERFALLS KRAVICE

After we leave Kotor we will go directly to the border crossing, passing by Mountain Orjen and enjoying the amazing view of Boka Bay. We need one hour of driving to reach the border, and 2 more hours of driving via the cities of Bileća and Stolac to arrive at Waterfalls Kravice, a Park of Nature on the river Trebižat in the municipality of Ljubuski. It was created by the flow of the tuff surrounding the river. It is a natural phenomenon under the country's protection. The height of the waterfall varies from 26 to 28 meters. The water amphitheater under the waterfall has a diameter of 120 m.

Many plants such as grass, moss, and ringworm grow from the top to the bottom of the waterfall. Figs and poplars have sprung up along with the waterfall's hemp. Next to the waterfalls are many mills and "stupas" for rolling cloth were once active. Stupa or Valjarica are primitive wooden machines driven by the power of water (like water mills), in which very coarse cloth was produced by rolling and compacting (beating) wool, with a constant flow of alkaline water (wet process).

From the main entrance to reach the waterfalls, we need 15 minutes to go down the small hill. There is an electric train that operates in the summer season for guests who don't want to walk, especially to go up to the exit. Waterfalls are amazing in the spring and in the autumn when the water capacity of the river is maximized. In the summer, waterfalls have 30% of their full capacity but then they become a paradise for water activities. Many tourists swim and jump into the waterfalls, or take a kayak to be close to the falls.

Several small beaches and a few restaurants have all the necessary facilities for visitors. We will make a short visit to the waterfalls and continue to Medjugorje.

MEDJUGORJE (MEĐUGORJE)

We will continue our trip 15 km further to Medjugorje. Our first stop will be St. James' Parish Church in the center of the city, where the guests can see the statue of St. Mary-Queen of Peace, make prayers, and confessions, visit the church, the complex around the church, and exterior altar with 5000 seats, buy some souvenirs and have lunch. 

The presentation on the statue of St. Mary of Peace in St. James' Paris Church is exactly in the body size and descriptions of the apparition witnesses. Our Lady of the Peace appears to be 18 to 20 years old, slender, and around 165 centimeters (5 ft 5 in) tall. Her face is long and oval. She has black hair. 

Her eyes are blue with delicate eyelashes and thin black eyebrows, a little nose, and rosy cheeks. She has reddish thin lips and her smile is more like some indescribable gentleness. Her simple dress is bluish-grey and falls freely down to the little whitish cloud on which she is standing. Her veil is pure white and covers her head and shoulders. It also reaches down to the little cloud. She has a crown of twelve golden stars on her head. All presentations of St. Mary on souvenirs, statues, and paintings follow this description in Medjugorje.

APPARITION HILL 

The next step will be Apparition Hill which is located 3 km far away from the St. James' Parish Church. Hiking up the rocky path to the summit of the apparition lasts 40 minutes with average body condition. Silence is requested. Be aware that summer can be very hot, so take some water with you, and adequate shoes.

When the first apparition happened, Medjugorje was a village in Yugoslavia, a republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The apparition of the Virgin Mary was seen by six children of witnesses. Later on, the witnesses were tested by the best world psychologists and doctors. All of them have concluded that all six visionaries are completely healthy and are not lying.

All of the visionaries have gotten numerous messages from the Blessed Virgin Mary and all of them were presented to the people. The citizens of Medjugorje believe that St. Mary has chosen their place for some reason to send the people words of peace, love and faith from her Son Jesus Christ. 

The first witness Mirjana Dragićević Soldo says that every person who wants to visit Medjugorje is invited by St. Mary-Queen of Peace directly. She wants us to open our hearts, and to guide us in the name of love.

POCITELJ

Počitelj is 20 km from Medjugorje and is a real historical pearl, consisting of a fortress, a tower, and about a hundred houses built in the Ottoman style from the 15th and 16th centuries. After a half-hour tour of Počitelje, we head back to Kotor and Budva.  We will carefully monitor the situation at the border and if there is a wait at the border for more than an hour, we will start the tour an hour earlier.


TOUR CONDITIONS

The tour is organized by middle-class air-conditioned cars or minibusses. Our tour to Herzegovina goes to the border crossing Vraćenovići (MNE)/ Deleuša (BIH), and Ilino Brdo(MNE)/ Klobuk (BIH). Bosnia and Herzegovina is not part of the European Union, so the Schengen Visa is not required.

The price of the private tour is per car, not per person. The maximum number of guests in the car is 4. The private tour from Budva costs 320 euros, and from Kotor is 300 euros. Private tours can depart any day depending on the availability of the drivers. We give a discount for groups of more than 10 people.

Professional driver from the Agency (the tour is not guided).
 

THE PRICE DOESN'T INCLUDE

The entrance fee to Waterfalls Kravice is 10 euros

Guests can use their food and drink (breakfast and lunch are not mandatory).
 

NOTE: Guests who wish to bring their luggage on the tour and end the tour in either Kotor or Budva, can do so easily, provided we have guests from all two cities participating in the tour. There is no luggage fee. 
 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

When guests make an online reservation, the card will be charged automatically only if a minimum group of 6 passengers is reached. If not achieved, the card will only be authorized.

If the minimum number of passengers is not found up to 12 hours before departure, the reservation is automatically canceled free of charge. Enjoy peace of mind knowing that there is absolutely no financial risk involved.
 

When the tour is confirmed guests will get the online ticket and a very detailed e-mail with all instructions about the departure point, type of vehicle, name of the driver and guide, phone numbers, etc. Guests don't need to print the tickets, they just need to keep them on their phones and show them to the driver, or guide.
