Trans Atlas Adventure Guided Off-Road Motorbike Tour - From Marrakesh!
This motorcycle journey is all about a unique discovery of the Atlas and all its beauty. We will ride on small winding roads, tackle dirt tracks, and climb to nearly 3,000 meters to see the mountain range from above. This adventure is meant for those with experience in off-road riding on big trail bikes who wish to discover the untouched parts of Morocco uniquely, all while enjoying the security of full assistance and guidance.
Day 1: Arrival
Arrive in Marrakesh and transfer to your hotel, where you can settle in and relax by the pool to prepare for your trip the next morning. You will meet your tour guide for a welcome briefing and complete the necessary formalities before the start. You will also receive your welcome pack.
Day 2: Marrakesh – Bin El Ouidane (approx. 200 km)
You will receive your bikes early in the morning before starting your journey towards Bin El Ouidane. We will head towards the High Atlas on regular roads to warm up and help you get accustomed to your bike, as well as local driving habits, before tackling the winding mountain roads, which will provide excellent insights into the great riding that Morocco has to offer. We will visit the scenic waterfalls of Ouzoud, where you will have some time for a short walk. Our stop for the night will be at a nice hotel on the edge of the lake, where you can relax by the pool or discuss the first day at the bar.
Day 3: Bin El Ouidane – Azrou (approx. 370 km)
We will leave the hotel in the morning and start our climb into the mountains, enjoying magnificent views of the lake beneath and the surrounding pine forests. We will tackle plenty of twists and turns before descending slowly to Khenifra, where we will pause for lunch. From Khenifra, we will turn east and ascend through Azigza National Park, which offers a stunning setting. The road narrows and eventually turns into gravel tracks that zig-zag through Ifrane National Park, leading us to our hotel located on the edge of Africa’s largest cedar forest. As this area is home to the infamous Barbary Apes, we may spot them while riding through the forests.
Day 4: Azrou – Midelt (approx. 130 km)
Before heading up to the plateau of the Atlas and the town of Midelt, we will start our day with a gentle off-road ride through the cedar forests to discover the beauty of the area and spot the Barbary apes living there. We will then take a beautiful road to climb the mountain range, arriving in Midelt around lunchtime. After our lunch break, we will hop back on our bikes to tackle some off-road sections and visit the mineral mines in the region.
Day 5: Midelt – Agoudal (approx. 200 km)
We will start our day on the nice winding roads of the Atlas, enjoying long straights and sweepers until we reach the town of Er-Rich, where we will turn towards the higher peaks of the mountain range. We will ride through gravel roads toward the Cirque de Jaffar, one of the most epic tracks in the Atlas. Our journey will continue along smaller roads and dirt tracks until we descend to the valley of Todra and reach the village of Agoudal for the night.
Day 6: Agoudal – Skoura (approx. 200 km)
As we leave Agoudal, we will head towards Boumalne Dades on the main national road before the real fun begins. We will ride along the wonderful winding roads of the Dades Valley, with plenty of opportunities for photo stops. This motorcycle ride will take us through some of the most photographed switchbacks in Morocco. From there, we will continue our journey, navigating battered road sections that will turn into gravel roads.
Day 7: Skoura – Marrakesh (approx. 270 km)
The great motorcycle adventure continues as we ride through the small winding roads of the Atlas toward Marrakesh. We will tackle switchbacks and turns as we ride mostly above 2,000 meters before returning to our headquarters to return the bikes. You will then be taken back to your hotel, where you can spend the rest of the evening reflecting on the best moments of the trip or taking the time to explore the city. This will be your last opportunity to invite your guide for a drink at the bar.
Day 8: Departure
Depending on your flight time, you may take the opportunity to relax or visit the city before the arranged pick-up takes you to the airport.
