Itinerary

During our time in the Amalfi Coast, we will be vising Sorrento, Positano, Capri and Pompeii (optional.)  We will send you a detailed itinerary depending on your departure date.

SORRENTO

The home of limoncello, beautiful Italian ceramics, and gorgeous cliff views of the Meditteranean and Mt. Vesuvious. There will be our main base as we explore the neighboring towns and island of Capri.

POSITANO

This spectacular, scenic drive hugs the Amalfi coastline before depositing us in the heart of Positano. We will wind our way through town ending at the black sand beaches. Once in Positano, your trip leader will point out Vini e Panini for sandwiches, snacks, and drinks, in addition to other good places to eat. You will then have the entire day to relax on the beach, swim in the sparkling blue waters, and browse the many shops of Positano, known for ceramics and lace! It is also possible to rent a boat, kayaks, or stand-up paddle boards while there. Our transport will take us directly back to our accommodation. At night you have free to yourself to either kick back at your accommodation or head into Sorrento.

CAPRI

In the morning we depart for the port where we board the ferry and set sail for the Island of Capri. Upon arrival, we begin our private island boat tour. First stop is the Blue Grotto. You will be transferred directly from our boat into small row boats that will bring you into the grotto (weather permitting). We will then continue around the island to check out more sights finishing at Marina Grande. We will take private bus transfers up to Capri Town to sip granitas and take photos in front of the amazing back drop of Capri. Our private transport will then bring us further up to Anacapri, the highest town on the island. From there, you will be given free time to explore. Your trip leaders will arrange an optional lunch in town where you can indulge in typical Southern Italian cuisine. You have the option to ride the chairlift to the top of Mt. Solaro to get a breathtaking 360 degree view of the island. We will take private transport back down to Marina Grande where you will have free time to spend on the beach or exploring the shops downtown. We will take a ferry back to Sorrento. On Friday night, we will take a bus into lively downtown Sorrento, where your trip leader will arrange an optional group dinner.

Pompeii

There will be an option to sign up for a guided tour of the ruins. The guides do an amazing job of painting an excellent picture of life in Pompeii during the Roman era in a fun and relatable way. Following the tour, there will be free time for lunch.
