Prime Group: Summer 2022
The Vann Prime Group will visit some of the most famous sites in Austria and in southern Germany. A beautiful combination of lakes, mountains, and picturesque cities are the highlights of this itinerary.
Location
VIENNA
DAY 1 - DAY 3
Our program begins in Vienna, famous for its culture, imperial sights, and Viennese charm. The group will learn about the famous Viennese composers while taking in the sights and history on a walking tour of the city.
The following day the group will visit the Hofburg Palace which was the political center of the Austrian monarchy until 1918. During the visit with included audioguide, the group will learn about the history of the Austrian sovereignty including the infamous Habsburg family that came into power in the 13th century. Afterward, the group will visit the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, the Viennese museum of art history and the largest art museum in the country. The group will then have an option to participate in a bike tour around Vienna.
The final full day in Vienna takes our group to the Schönbrunn Palace with a private guided tour. The former hunting lodge was developed into the summer home of the royal family that we see today in the 18th century. Much of the work was commissioned by the former monarch Maria Theresa.
