Ancient Rome Free Walking Tour

Journey back in time to discover and learn the history of the Kings of Rome, the Roman Republic and the Imperial Rome and its most important monument on a guided tour of Ancient Rome. Follow in the footsteps of emperors the Roman Fora, the Palatine Hill, the Colosseum (from outside) and more.

Booking is mandatory

Our Free Walking Tours do not have an "up front ticket/fare“, instead, each person gives the guide at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to €50 depending on satisfaction with the tour, our guides, all experienced and licensed, will do their best to deserve it).

Know before you go: 

  • Please book only if you plan to attend! 
  • Groups of 7 people or more, (families or friends included  that know eachother), cannot take part in the tour unless they have booked a private tour. Multiple bookings made in order to avoid this will limit will be cancelled as well as the staff has the right to calcel them on the spot
  •  If you want to join as a group, please choose this option for a reservation fee or book a Private Tour (booking@newromefreetour.com) as it is the only way to guarantee your group will travel together.
  • Guests can make only one reservation for each tour and on a single day only. Multiple bookings (made for different days and for the same tour) will be cancelled).
  • Due to the nature of this tour, (duration 2 hours 30 minutes), its route, and for safety reasons, that it is NOT SUITABLE for children under 10 years of age and that the USE OF A STROLLER IS NOT POSSIBLE.
  • Pets and animals (any size) are not allowed ; please send an email to request a special, private tour with your pets at info@newromefreetour.com
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the tour starting time.
  • Please show the voucher to our guide, mobile ticket accepted. (better printed in order to avoid missing important information).
