UGA: Barcelona and Costa Brava

Barcelona is a lively and colorful seaside city with endless culture and architecture as well as exceptional dining! During this long weekend you will explore the city with a professional guide that will reveal all the secrets this city has to offer. You will also have the opportunity to experience the passion of Flamenco at a live show. 

 

During this trip you’ll travel the breathtaking northern Spanish coast, the Costa Brava, where you'll visit the coastal town of Lloret de Mar. Upon arrival to Lloret de Mar you'll embark on a catamaran excursion where you'll have the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear waters and enjoy an included barbeque lunch and drinks.

Wednesday

After arriving at the Barcelona airport, we will take a private group transfer to our accommodation. Upon our arrival,  we’ll check-in and your guide will begin giving you the tour of your neighborhood and will help you navigate this beautiful city.

 

On Wednesday night, we will offer an optional Flamenco show experience.

 

Thursday

Thursday morning is free time to relax, rent bikes and go along the beach, explore Las Ramblas, or have traditional paella lunch with friends.

 

The group will meet on Thursday late afternoon, we will have a Walking tour of the city's main sites with a local guide and visit Parc Guell. For those who are interested after the walking tour, your guide will take you to the famous Magic Fountain show of Montjüic.

 

Friday

We depart early for a fun in the sun beach day. We will ride in our coach bus to Lloret de Mar in Costa brava.

 

After arriving we will embark on our catamaran experience. Music, swim stops and lunch will be provided.

 

When we arrive back at the port, we will have free beach time. You can walk along the boardwalk, or visit the botanical gardens. The afternoon is yours to explore or relax.  

 

We will depart back to Barcelona in the late afternoon so that we are back in time for dinner hour.

 

Saturday

Saturday is the last day to enjoy your Spanish experience. Your guide will meet you in the lobby to provide you with a variety of recommendations.

The group will come together on Saturday night for a farewell tapas dinner.  

 

Sunday

Your guide will be on hand to assist with everyone’s departure.
