Shore Excursion to Commandaria Region and Wineries

In this on shore excursion I aim to introduce visitors to the authentic Cypriot hospitality and culture.
Starting from Limassol port we will head north towards the centre of the island, into the Commandaria production region. We go through a number of traditional villages on an easy going route with iconic landscapes of mountainous vineyards. Lot’s to discover on local life style and traditional products.
We visit prototype exhibitions of production of local delicacies show-case millennial technology and observe the native way of village life. You will enjoy a light brunch in privacy prepared by Mrs Eleni at one of the visiting wineries. What the locals have for breakfast since the ancient Greeks: Fresh Goat's cheese, Grape Must, Fresh and dry fruits and nuts, sweet wine.
Focusing on, but not limited to Commandaria which is the world's oldest wine with a designated origin, still in production. (Two Guinness Book records). I will perform for you a master class of Cyprus' Sweet Treasure through an entertaining story telling wine tasting using ceramic folklore art.
We will end up with a comprehensive wine tasting session in one of the island's highest located wineries, enjoying the breathtaking views of the vineyards from the balcony of the tasting room.
