Join this full-day tour and you will explore the ancient pyramids of Egypt by visiting the fascinating pyramids of Dahshur, Memphis, and Sakkara, located on the outskirts of Cairo with your private tour guide. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning at 08:00 AM to drive you to the Dahshur area, about 35 kilometers from the Giza pyramids. Dahshur was the ancient cemetery of Memphis, and you will visit the 2 famous pyramids of King Senefru. The founder of the 4th Dynasty and the father of King Cheops (founder of the Great Pyramids at Giza), you will discover why the king had 2 pyramids and how it was down to a mistake by his architect. Go inside the Red Pyramid of King Senefru, named for the red limestone used at its core. Then to Memphis, the oldest capital of Egypt after the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt by King Menens in 3,100 BC. Explore the lovely gardens and historic ruins, before ending your day tour at Sakkara to see Egypt's oldest cemetery and the grand necropolis of the former capital of Memphis, visit the world's first monumental stone building at the Step Pyramid of King Zoser and the magnificent Mastaba tombs, before your return to Cairo for your hotel drop-off.
