The Lost Village - Tanomah

The Lost village is a 2 night camping adventure in the Al Majardah region. The weekend includes an 8 KM hike through amazing terrain, including volcanic rocks with water streams flowing through them. Reach the impressive abandoned village of Ghayya experience stunning scenery.

The Essentials: Ankle support hiking boots, thick woolen socks, 50L hiking rucksack, day rucksack, microfibre towel, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, headlights (with spare batteries), hiking gear and reusable insulated water bottle (2l)
Nice to Have: Hat, sunglasses, lip balm and sunscreen, bug spray/ repellent, camera / gopro with chargers, extra batteries, toiletries, fresh clothes, sandals / flipflops for the camp and waterproof mobible phone case.

Location

Day 1 - 

Pick up from Abha Airport at 3pm. The first afternoon will be spent traveling to the camping spot in Al Sharaf. The group will work together to set up camp and then relax around the campfire. Tuck into a delicious dinner before introductions are made.

Day 2 -
Wake up at 6am, tuck into a warm breakfast and then drive to the start point. From here the group will set off on an 8 KM hike to reach the Lost Village. Explore the ruins and learn more about what life was like living here. The total journey will take between 5- 6 hours depending on the speed of the group. From here the group will drive to the second campsite AlNamas Reservoir. Tuck into a delicious grill dinner and relax around the campfire.

DAY 3 - 
Wake up, tuck into a warm breakfast and explore the reservoir by foot before setting off on the 1-hour drive back to Husaak’s adventure center in Tanomah. The estimated end time is 10am, from here you can shower and use the facilities before setting off on your homeward journey.
