Wadi Hawir & Wahiba Sands Weekend Trip
Drive into Wahiba Sands and enjoy a sunset BBQ surrounded by golden dunes. Next stop is Oriental hotel where you will share rooms on a double basis. After breakfast, set off to explore Wadi Hawir, one of Oman's less commercialized Wadi's. Expect running waterfalls, vast and vibrant blue freshwater pools. Journeying through the Wadi will take approximately 5 hours as you go over big boulders, swim through large wadi pools and slide down natural waterslides. From here cross over the Ash Sharqiyah region towards the coast where you will set up camp within the grounds of Sama Ras Al Jinz resort. The next morning wakeup, enjoy breakfast and pack up camp. From here stop into Ras Al Hadd to enjoy a boat ride to look for dolphins and turtles before returning to Muscat.

The Essentials: Ankle support hiking boots or training shoes / converse, thick woolen socks, microfibre towel, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, headlights (with spare batteries), canyoning gear and swim gear (Dryfit leggings, shorts/ t-shirts) and reusable insulated water bottle (2l)
Nice to Have: Hat, sunglasses, gloves for summertime, lip balm and sunscreen, bug spray/ repellent, camera / gopro with chargers, extra batteries, toiletries, fresh clothes, sandals / flipflops for the camp and waterproof mobile phone case.

2 pm - Meet at Husaak Center for trip briefing
2:30 pm - Depart for Wabiba Sands
5:30 pm - Arrive at set up camp, enjoy sunset over the dunes before tucking into dinner prepared on the fire
Day 2
8 am - Breakfast & pack up camp
9 am - Depart for Wadi Hawer
10 am - Enter the canyon
3:30 pm - Depart for Ras Al Jin
2 pm - Meet at Husaak Center for trip briefing
2:30 pm - Depart for Wabiba Sands
5:30 pm - Arrive at set up camp, enjoy sunset over the dunes before tucking into dinner prepared on the fire
Day 2
8 am - Breakfast & pack up camp
9 am - Depart for Wadi Hawer
10 am - Enter the canyon
3:30 pm - Depart for Ras Al Jin
5:30 pm - Arrive & Set Up camp, prepare dinner on the fire and relax

7:30 am - Breakfast & pack up camp
8:30 am - Depart for Ras al Hadd
9 am - Set off on a boat ride
11 am - Return to the vehicles and make the drive back to Muscat
2 pm - Arrive at Husaak Center Muscat
