4 Days Cairo, Alexandria and El Fayoum

Location

Day 01: Full Day to Giza Pyramids, Sakkara & Memphis Tour

Breakfast at your hotel then one of our tour Guides will meet you at the hotel, and you will be driven in air-conditioned comfort to Memphis, the ancient capital of the Old Kingdom. Here you will have some time for exploring the ruins, and then you will be driven to the ancient Sakkara necropolis to see the very first pyramid ever built, the Djoser Pyramid which is also known as the Step Pyramid.

After Visiting Sakkara, you will then be taken for a nice lunch at a good quality restaurant at Giza. Once you have finished eating, you will visit Egypt’s most recognizable archeological attractions, the Great Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. While here, you will also visit the iconic Sphinx, and the fascinating Valley Temple that faces the Sphinx.
After the Tour your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel spending the night.




Day2: Cairo City Tour Visiting Egyptian Museum, Coptic, Cairo and Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then you will be escorted by your private guide to visit: the Egyptian Museum the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was discovered.
Move to Coptic Cairo" where you will visit the "Hanging Church" which is dating back to the 3rd Century AD and was dedicated to Virgin Mary ,It's called "Hanging" because of its location above the gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress "Babylon" .It contains 110 Holy icons depicting beautiful religious scenes.
Then visiting "Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church" which is believed to have been built on the spot (The Crypt) where the holy family rested at the end of their journey into Egypt.

And ending Coptic Cairo tour with a visit to the "Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra" which gained its importance from its Geniza (Store room) was found during the 19th century containing a treasure of abandoned Hebrew secular and sacred manuscripts
Khan el-Khalili Bazaar where traders have been selling their ware ever since the 14th century. If there is anything in particular you want to buy at the bazaar, your guide will be happy to help you find what you are looking for. Even if you don’t want to do any shopping, the bazaar is a great place to walk around, or to sit down for some coffee while you watch the locals going about with their daily lives then transfer to your hotel in Cairo.


Day03 : Tour to Alexandria from Cairo
You will be picked you from your hotel in Cairo to visit Alexandria. You will drive in one of our comfortable cars for around 3 hours towards Alexandria.
The first place you explore is the famous Roman tombs of Kom ash-Shuqqafa, which consists of three levels. This is one of the most mysterious royal tombs in Egypt. Afterward, we move towards the famous Pompey Pillar, the only remaining items of a once great Roman temple. You would listen to many stories about it with qualified Egyptologists.
Your next visit would be to the fortress of Qaitbay which is the best-preserved Mamluk military construction in Egypt. Finally, you will explore the famous library (new Alexandria library, the library is closed every Friday, Saturday, and National days) which has the fourth rank among the libraries all over the world. This is a replica of the Ancient Library of Alexandria.
Enjoy lunch at a good-quality restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Then you will go back directly to your hotel in Cairo.


Day 4: El Fayoum Day Tour
 

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and drive for almost 90 km to enjoy El Fayoum's famous sightseeing. Start your day tour to El Fayoum from Cairo to explore, one of the largest Greco-Roman ruins of Karanis founded during the reign of Ptolemy II in the 3rd century BC.

And then, drive to visit one of the most beautiful attractions in El Fayoum, the Pyramid of Hawara founded by Amenemhat III (1860 BC – 1814 BC), 12th dynasty pharaoh, his reign regarded as the golden age of the Middle Kingdom (2055 BC – 1650).

Continue to see Al Fayoum water wheels, these water wheels were very important to El Fayoum economy, as they were used in agriculture, and now water wheels used as the official symbol of el Fayoum governorate.

Lastly, drive to Lake Qarun, one of the most important ancient natural lakes, where fishing, water sports, and bird watching are commonly practiced. And then, transfer back to your hotel in Cairo.
