Sand, Splash & Stars: Wadi Hawer & Wahiba Sands

Experience a sunset drive through Wahiba Sands and spend the night amongst the towering golden sand dunes. The next morning, after a warm breakfast the group will drive off to Wadi Hawer, and begin their epic adventure.

This impressive raw wadi is less commercialized than its down stream counterpart, Wadi Bani Khalid and boasts running waterfalls, vast and vibrant blue freshwater pools. The total journey time is 4-5 hours over big boulders, swimming through large wadi pools and sliding down natural waterslides. This is considered easy to moderate but requires a good physical fitness level and endurance.

Packing List
The Essentials: Ankle support hiking boots, thick woolen socks, microfibre towel, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, headlights (with spare batteries), canyoning gear such as dryfit leggings or shorts with t-shirts,sandals for camp, hat, sunglasses, reusable insulated water bottle (2l)

Nice to Have: Gloves for summertime (Rocks can get hot), lip balm and sunscreen, bug spray/ repellent, camera / gopro with chargers, extra batteries, toiletries, fresh clothes,  and waterproof mobible phone case.

Inclusions: 2 nights camping with equipment (Tent, all camp cutlery, plates, bowls and cups), 2 x dinner, 2 x packed lunch or lunch in local restaurant, 2 x breakfast, transport, experienced Husaak guides, all entry fees, dry bags & all safety equipment (Helmet & Buoyancy aids).

  • Savor a warm, comforting breakfast before packing up camp
  • Discover the awe-inspiring Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural wonder to behold
  • Head back to Muscat, taking with you memories of a magical journey
