The Gessi and the River in Borgo Tossignano
From the "La Casa del Fiume" Visitor Center, set off for a walk on the banks of the river, with glimpses of the Bailey Bridge from the Second World War and ancient machinery once used in the gypsum quarries in the area. By completing the itinerary with a tasting in a suggestive Agriturismo.
PROGRAM OF THE DAY
9.45 am Meeting with the hiking guide at the Casa del Fiume in Borgo Tossignano
10 am Easy walk along the river admiring the geological features of the place
Approximately 11.30 am At the end of the excursion, tasting at the Agriturismo Le Siepi di San Giovanni, in a place away from traffic in a suggestive naturalistic context.
