Late Launch

If you have your own canoe, kayak, paddleboard, windsurf kit or foil board you can now launch in the evening from 5pm.
Until the light fades and the clocks change, you can get out on the water from 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

***Important - Please Read***

A launch is for an individual. If you have a craft such as a canoe, that is designed for two, you can bring a single guest per visit. If you have a single person craft like a SUP, only the person booked is permited to launch. Under 8's are permitted on the front of a single person craft without charge as long as they are on the water with the booked customer.

Launch vessels must meet a minimum safety and quality standard and will be inspected before your launch is approved.*

To qualify for Winter launch:
  1. Book in for the day that you wish your launch to take place and have your equipment checked.
  2. You should be self sufficient with your own CE approved buoyancy aid, paddles, wetsuits, leashes etc.
  3. All lake users must have and wear their own buoyancy aid at all times on the water.
  4. We will check the craft and equipment on arrival. If it does not comply with our required safety standards, we will be unable to approve your launch and will arrange a refund of the fee paid.
  5. If your craft is all good to go, you will be issued with a wristband as receipt which you should wear while on the water.

* Please note, the below is an example of a non-safety compliant kayak from our perspective. If your inflatable kayak, SUP or canoe looks and feels like a thin walled lilo with a paddle, it is not appropriate and will not be permitted.
