Ceramic Class and Wine Tour at Marisa Cuomo Winery with lunch/dinner
Come along and try your hands at painting ceramics on the inspiring Amalfi Coast.
Join us for a hands-on ceramic class in the studio of our talented local artisan: a unique experience that will allow you to tap into your imagination and creativity while learning about the traditional designs, patterns and colours used in artisan ceramics on the Amalfi Coast.
Our local expert ceramists, Enzo and Annamaria, create and decorate ceramic objects by hand with passion and dedication using the fine technique of “maiolica”, and along with them you will learn and paint your own unique pieces of art. During your class you will choose two different pieces to decorate, and, just to get those creative juices running, you can also enjoy a glass of limoncello! At the end of the class, you will have your own two special pieces painted in your favourite colours and using the design of your choice.
After your class, it’s a short two-minute walk to the Marisa Cuomo winery in the village of Furore. The Marisa Cuomo Winery is truly one of a kind. The grapes that grow here, clinging to the rocks of Furore, are exposed to the magical action of the sun and sea of the Amalfi Coast. In a location like Furore, which is uniquely beautiful but also has its unique challenges, care of the vines and grapes is necessarily carried out entirely by hand. The wines of Cantine Marisa Cuomo are aged in a wine cellar dug into the dolomitic-limestone rock; a fascinating, cool and damp place in which to age their wines in French barriques.
Over the years, the Cantine Marisa Cuomo has received numerous prizes and accolades such as the “Tre Bicchieri” of the Gambero Rosso guide “I Vini d’Italia”, a gold medal in Los Angeles and the “Best of Class” Award Limited Production, also in the US.
During your visit you will learn more about the vines, most of which are trained on pergolas and often planted on vertical rock faces. Discover the vineyards and enjoy a 4-course wine pairing dinner in the family restaurant next to the winery. Each dish will highlight traditional local recipes and ingredients, and is paired with Marisa Cuomo DOC wines. *Water included. Coffee, additional wine and liqueurs available at extra cost and payable directly on site.
After dinner, return to your hotel with your driver.
