Private Neretva Rafting & Mostar Tour 2024

This is a two-day program, with rafting through the Neretva Canyon and enjoying a rare view of the emerald of Herzegovina flowing over 100 kilometres from its source into the Adriatic Sea. Expect deep canyon walls, endemic flora and fauna, and a wild and pristine ambience that only the Neretva can provide.

Stay a night and enjoy Mostar, the pearl of Herzegovina and visit the secret underground nuclear command centre (ARK - Atomic War Command) and protective bunker, built into Bjelašnica Mountain as part of a Cold War Yugoslav defence system.

Day 1 Neretva River Rafting Adventure

The Neretva River is the emerald of Herzegovina, flowing over 100 kilometres from its source into the Adriatic Sea. In the upper canyon is some of the most beautiful rafting in Europe. The water is calm during the summer months, and the trip provides ample opportunity to enjoy the canyon and its unique flora and fauna. Depending on the season, there will be class II-IV rapids. The trip lasts for approximately 4 hours with breaks for swimming and a snack. Lunch will be provided at the end of the day overlooking the Neretva River and Konjic Old Bridge. We end the day with a transfer to Mostar.

Day 2 Visit of ARK Underground Bunker 

We spend the morning in Mostar and before noon depart for Konjic for the arranged visit to ARK D-0 (Atomic War Command). This structure, deep underground, was the third most expensive JNA (Yugoslav People's Army) military project with spendings of cca. 4.6 billion USD, facility D-0, Tito’s Atomic War Command (ARK), was built to accept, accommodate and protect 350 people and enable successful management and command over the armed forces in case of nuclear warfare. In the afternoon hours we will return to Sarajevo.
