Day 1Arrival | Cairo
Arrive at Cairo International Airport where our representative will be eagerly waiting to greet you. We will assist you through passport control and customs. Transfer to your hotel in Cairo and prepare to enjoy exciting sightseeing tours across Egypt.

Day 2Pyramids of Giza & Egyptian Museum
After breakfast, join your personal Egyptologist on a guided tour of the Giza Plateau, home of the Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx. Stand before one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and marvel at its impressive scale. After you tour the pyramids, you will have the option to enter the chambers of the pyramid and explore further (at additional cost). You may also choose to roam the pyramid area on camelback and witness its beauty from a distance. Afterward, you will stand at the feet of the legendary Sphinx and enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view of the Giza Plateau.
Enter the Valley Temple nearby and learn about the secrets of mummification. Conclude your tour of the Giza Plateau and visit the world-famous Egyptian Museum and its extensive collection of pharaonic artifacts. Amongst these artifacts is the priceless collection of Tutankhamun, including his six gold-gilded coffins and funerary mask.
At the end of your tour, transfer to the train station and board a first-class sleeper train to Luxor.

Day 3Luxor
Upon arrival at Luxor Train Station, meet with our representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Afterward, join your personal Egyptologist guide and explore the Valley of the Kings. This royal burial site was the resting place of the finest pharaohs of the New Kingdom. Amongst these beautifully decorated tombs is that of Tutankhamun. You may choose to explore the tombs further (at an additional cost).
After exploring the Valley of the Kings, journey to the funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This striking temple stands proudly in the sandy plains and is unique to other temples in the region. Afterward, pay a visit to the Colossi of Memnon that once stood guard outside of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.
Continue your sightseeing tour across Luxor by visiting the impressive Karnak Temple complex. The temple complex was expanded over several generations of pharaohs and was known as “the most sacred of places” in ancient Egypt. Walk along the Avenue of the Sphinx as you make your way to the Temple of Luxor. Marvel at the towering columns of the Great Hypostyle Hall and the detailed relief carvings that decorate them. Day 4Aswan
After breakfast in your hotel, transfer to Luxor Train Station and board your train to Aswan. Check in to your hotel in Aswan and prepare to witness ancient and modern feats of engineering alike. See the Aswan High Dam, which regulates Nile floods while providing clean and sustainable energy to the region. Enjoy a beautiful view from atop the High Dam as you make your way to the Unfinished Obelisk. The obelisk remains in the granite quarries at the very spot it was carved.
Continue your sightseeing adventure across Luxor and visit the beautiful Agilkia Island. Nestled between the banks of the Nile, this island features serene surroundings and unforgettable views. Upon arrival, you will visit the majestic Philae Temple, which is dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. Afterward, you will continue sightseeing as you board a traditional felucca boat and sail around Elephantine Island.
At the end of your tour, return to your hotel in Aswan for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5Abu Simbel
After breakfast, meet with your personal Egyptologist guide and visit the Temples of Abu Simbel. These remarkable twin temples were dedicated to Ramses II, and his wife, Queen Nefertari. Your private guide will provide a fascinating introduction to the temple and its history. At the end of your tour, transfer to the Aswan train station and return to Cairo in the comfort of a first-class sleeper train.

Day 6Giza
Arrive at the Giza train station and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The day is open for you to spend as you please, relax at your hotel, or join Your Egypt Tours on an optional day tour of Memphis and Sakkara.
(Optional Tour: Memphis and Sakkara) Set off on an optional tour across Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Explore some of the oldest monuments in Egypt in the company of your personal Egyptologist guide. Along the way, you will visit Sakkara and explore its ancient necropolis.

Day 7Alexandria
After breakfast in your hotel, meet with our YET representative and travel to Alexandria. This lively city is home to many wonders and monuments. Your first stop will be Qaitbay Fort, built in the 15th century at the very spot the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria stood.
Afterward, continue to the highly-acclaimed Alexandria Library and explore the extensive collection of literary works. After exploring the Alexandria Library, visit the fascinating Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and its wonderfully decorated chambers. Your personal Egyptologist guide will familiarize you with the catacomb’s history before transferring you back to Cairo for your final overnight stay.

Day 8Departure | Cairo
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel before transferring to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight home.
