1. Starting Point: Bucharest

2. Stop 2: Busteni
  • Main Attractions:
  • Short stop in Bușteni, a charming mountain town, before heading further up into the Carpathians
  • Estimated Visit Duration: ~15–20 minutes

3. Stop 3: Babele & The Sphinx: Mystical Rock Legends of the Carpathians

       Step into a realm where nature's beauty and ancient legends intertwine. This tour offers an easy hike through the breathtaking landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains Known for their otherworldly shapes, these towering natural monuments are steeped in folklore and mystery.

         Main Attraction:
  • The Sphinx: A natural rock formation resembling a human face, standing at 2,200 meters (7,217 feet) above sea level. It has sparked local legends and resembles the Great Sphinx of Giza. Visitors enjoy hiking to the site and taking photos of its iconic “face.”
  • Babele (The Old Women): A series of stone formations resembling ancient women, standing near the Sphinx. These formations are linked to Romanian mythology, where Babele are believed to be wise, elderly women representing nature and the changing seasons.
