Before the Khareef season transforms the region into a green paradise, this weekend adventure lets you explore Salalah’s natural wonders, from vast sinkholes and hidden caves to rainforest valleys and majestic waterfalls. Encounter unique wildlife, wild camp at breathtaking sites, and immerse yourself in the region’s rich biodiversity.
 

Whether it’s mountains, beaches, or hidden gems, Salalah promises adventure, nature, and unforgettable memories for every traveler.

Level: Easy-Medium depending on fitness levels

- This is a mixed gender trip
- This includes wild camping.

Packing List:

The Essentials:
Big bag for travel- preferably a duffel bag, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, ankle support hiking boots, thick woolen socks, day rucksack, microfibre towel,  headlights (with spare batteries), swimming gear such as dryfit leggings or shorts with t-shirts, sandals, sun hat, sunglasses, reusable insulated water bottle (2l) and a hiking pole is optional

Nice to Have: Lip balm and sunscreen, bug spray/ repellent, camera / gopro with chargers, extra batteries, basic toiletries and fresh clothes

 

Inclusions: 2 nights camping with equipment (Tent, all camp cutlery, plates, bowls and cups), 2 x dinner,  2 x packed lunch or lunch in local restaurant, 2 x breakfast, transport, guide, all entry fees & safety equipment.

Sleeping bag & Mat available for rent @ OMR 15.

Location

Day 1 – Into the Highlands

  • Arrival in Salalah (before 1 PM) – meet our team at the airport

  • Refreshment stop to kickstart the journey

  • Drive to Jebel Samhan, known for its sweeping canyon views

  • Hike the Leopard Trail, a scenic route through mountain terrain

  • Camp on the mountain, surrounded by raw natural beauty
    Enjoy a hearty dinner under the stars

Day 2 – Caves, Cliffs & Coastline

  • Wake up to a warm mountain breakfast and pack up camp

  • Begin the Taiq Cave trek (3 km) – explore a massive sinkhole, visit a fossil chamber, and descend into the main cave

  • Enjoy a local lunch at a traditional restaurant, ​​​​​​In the late afternoon, trek through Ain Ghaidh, with lush views and water features

  • Camp near the sea cliffs, listening to the ocean below as night falls

Day 3 – Hidden Beaches & Blowholes

  • Early breakfast and trek to the secret beach in Fazayah

  • Swim in turquoise waters and relax at this remote paradise

  • Visit the famous Mughsail Blowholes – take in the views and freshen up with natural showers

  • Return to the city and enjoy fresh Salalah coconut water

  • Drop-off at the airport. Please book flight departing after 5 PM.
