Step into the shoes of early explorers and welcome the New Year with an unforgettable adventure across Oman. Guests dressed as 19th–20th century explorers gather in Muscat, then journey south by road before setting off by boat to a secret camp where celebrations begin under the stars.
The next morning, teams embark on a two-day treasure hunt across Oman, armed with maps, drivers, and endless curiosity. Camp wherever your search takes you, uncover clues, and chase the thrill of discovery. The journey concludes with a festive gathering. Adventure, camaraderie, and mystery, this is no ordinary New Year’s Eve.

The Essentials: Ankle support hiking boots, 50l rucksack, thick woolen socks, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, headlights (with spare batteries) and reusable insulated water bottle (2l)
Nice to Have: Sunhat, lip balm and sunscreen, bug spray/ repellent, camera / gopro with chargers, extra batteries, toiletries, fresh clothes, clothes you can go canyoning in, waterproof mobile phone case and sandals / flipflops for the camp.

Day 1 – The Gathering of Explorers
Step into the shoes of early 19th–20th century adventurers as you arrive at the Husaak Centre in Muscat at 1:00 PM, dressed in your explorer-inspired outfits. From there, you will journey south by road before boarding boats that will whisk you away to a secluded hidden camp. As the sun sets, the atmosphere transforms into a magical night under the stars, complete with music, lanterns, and fireside celebrations to welcome the New Year in true expedition style.
Day 2 – The Treasure Hunt Begins
Awaken to a hearty breakfast in the heart of nature before dividing into teams of four. Each team is provided with a driver, a rugged off-road vehicle, and an antique-style treasure map filled with cryptic clues and mysterious symbols. Your mission: navigate Oman’s dramatic landscapes using teamwork, instinct, and strategy.
The journey is yours to shape. Follow whatever path your clues reveal, solve challenges along the way, and set up camp wherever the adventure takes you. Tonight, you embrace the true spirit of exploration: wild, free, and guided only by starlight and curiosity.
Day 3 – The Final Clues
With renewed energy, teams continue their quest across mountains, wadis, and desert plateaus. Each clue brings you closer to the final discovery as you trace hidden markers and decode riddles left by past explorers. By the afternoon, all teams reunite at a designated location to share stories from their journey. The day concludes with a warm, joyful dinner, celebrating teamwork, adventure, and the friendships forged along the way.
Day 4 – Farewell to Adventure
After a relaxed breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the expedition. The group returns to Muscat carrying not just souvenirs, but new connections, unforgettable memories, and the rare experience of welcoming the New Year as true explorers.
