Prime Group: Summer 2026

The Prime Group is thrilled to announce our 2026 summer program exploring the heart of Germany and the Austrian Alps!
This journey combines history, culture, and breathtaking scenery - from medieval castles and Rhine River cruises to Alpine hikes and Bavarian traditions.

The minimum size for the group is 12 students.
Airline tickets are not included.  Instructions to follow once minimum capacity has been reached.
 

The group will depart from the USA on June 19, 2026*, arriving in Frankfurt, Germany on June 20, 2026*.


Return flights to the USA will depart from Munich, Germany on July 2, 2026*.
 

Another option to consider is a roundtrip flight to Frankfurt OR Munich. In this case, individual transportation to meet with or depart from the group will need to be organized on your own.

Welcome to Germany - Frankfurt & the Rhine Valley

After an overnight flight from the USA, the group arrives in Frankfurt and begins the adventure along the beautiful Rhine River. Our first stop is Bacharach, a charming riverside town lined with half-timbered houses. We will enjoy a Rhine River Cruise, passing terraced hills, historic castles, and picturesque villages before visiting the fairy-tale Burg Rheinstein Castle.

 

Heidelberg 

Next, we travel south to the romantic university city of Heidelberg. Students will explore the iconic Heidelberg Castle, stroll along the Philosopher’s Walk for sweeping views of the Neckar River, and visit the historic Heidelberg University and its famous Student Prison, a quirky symbol of student life in centuries past. Evenings in Heidelberg offer cozy cafés and local cuisine along cobblestone streets.

 

Rothenburg ob der Tauber 

From Heidelberg, we journey into the heart of medieval Germany to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of Europe’s best-preserved walled towns. Here, we will visit the fascinating Medieval Crime Museum and enjoy the beloved Night Watchman Tour, a lantern-lit walk that brings centuries of history and legends to life.

 

Dinkelsbühl & Arrival in Munich

On the way to Munich, we will make a stop in the storybook town of Dinkelsbühl for a short walking tour of its colorful old quarter - a perfect glimpse into traditional Bavarian life. We will then continue to Munich, Bavaria’s vibrant capital, known for its architecture, gardens, and welcoming culture.

 

 

Munich 

Our time in Munich includes a guided walking tour of the city center, exploring Marienplatz, the Viktualienmarkt, and historic landmarks. We will visit Kloster Andechs, a Benedictine monastery famous for its views and traditional Bavarian fare, and take a bike tour through Munich’s parks and neighborhoods. A full-day excursion to Salzburg, Austria will include the iconic “Sound of Music” Tour, discovering film locations and Salzburg’s baroque charm.

 

Mittenwald - The Alps Experience

To cap off the journey, the group travels to Mittenwald, a picturesque alpine village nestled beneath the Karwendel Mountains. Students will have a free afternoon to relax or explore, then take the Karwendel Cable Car for incredible mountain views followed by an alpine hike. We will also visit the dramatic Partnach Gorge, where waterfalls and rock formations create an unforgettable natural spectacle. Our final evening will feature a farewell dinner celebrating new memories made across Germany and Austria.

 

Departure

After breakfast, the group will transfer to Munich Airport for flights back to the USA.




Pricing: 3,275 EUR per person with a 500 EUR non-refundable deposit. Should the group not reach the minimum capacity- everyone will be refunded.

Deadline to pay in full: March 1, 2025

Cancellation Policy:

  • Until February 1st, 2026: Cancellations are free of charge (deposit is non-refundable)

  • February 1st - March 1st, 2026: Cancellation allowed, 50% of total payment is non-refundable

  • From March 1st, 2026 until date of departure: Cancellation allowed, 100% payment is non-refundable

No refunds will be made in respect of any unused portion of a ticket or partially completed trip.


Flights are not included in the package.  Once we have reached the minimum capacity (12 students) we will notify and update all guests that they are able to book their flights.
