Meet the biggest eagle of Europe in our dedicated hide in Varanger!
Two hides, each accommodating up to 4 people, are set up side by side — but with different angles to offer varied backgrounds — in the stunning landscapes of Varanger.
Located on Smelror, on the mainland, near Vardø, this place is also visited by many species of birds (short eared owl, ...).
We just started feeding the eagles in February. Thanks to remote 4g camera, we inform you that many eagles have accepted our hides (up to 5 at the same time).
These (hide) summer sessions are intended for nature photographers and passionate birdwatchers, mainly targeting White-Tailed Eagles. Each session, is priced at €150 per person during the season from July to September, including VAT. There are two sessions per day, one in the (early) morning or/one in the afternoon from mid of April onwards.
Special conditions may apply for professional travel organisers or booking exclusively the hide.
These hides have a maximum capacity of four photographers each. This limit ensures safety and an optimal photography experience. Gimbal heads are provided.

Location
IT IS ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN TO TRY TO REACH THE HIDE BY VEHICULE.
The area is protected and no cars/trucks are allowed in the area.
From Vardø, in the summer, you must go direction Hamningberg (red line - Road FV341) and the first parking place on your right is the place to reach the hide by feet (blue line). It's few hundred meters (300m) - flat to going down gravel path.
In the winter, only the yellow line is open. (going up to the hides)
