Drift above the endless golden waves of Wahiba Sands on an unforgettable sunrise hot air balloon flight, where the desert comes alive in soft morning light. Then descend into the heart of adventure as you explore the hidden beauty of Wadi Hawer, canyoning through crystal-clear pools, waterfalls, and natural rock formations carved by time.
 

Between sky and canyon, unwind in the silence of the desert, camping beneath a vast canopy of stars, surrounded by the timeless stillness of the dunes.
 

From floating high above the desert to diving into untouched canyon waters and falling asleep under one of the clearest night skies on earth, this is more than a trip, it’s a journey through Oman’s most iconic landscapes, experienced from above, within, and beyond the dunes.

Departure: Thursday, 2:00 PM – Husaak Center, Muscat

Return: Saturday, approximately 2:00 PM – Husaak Center, Muscat

Notes

  • Hot air balloon activity is weather-dependent and may be cancelled for safety reasons.
  • In case of cancellation, guests will receive a refund of OMR 75 per person.
  • If the balloon flight is cancelled, guests will enjoy an extended canyoning experience in Wadi Hawar instead.
  • Participants must know how to swim for canyoning activities.
  • This is a mixed-gender wild camping trip.

Location

Day 1 – Into the Desert

  • Depart from Husaak Center, Muscat
  • Scenic drive to Wahiba Sands
  • Sunset dune drive through the golden desert
  • Set up camp in the dunes
  • BBQ dinner under the stars
  • Overnight desert camping

Day 2 – Sky, Canyon & Desert

  • Early breakfast at camp
  • Transfer to hot air balloon launch site
  • Hot air balloon experience over Wahiba Sands (40–60 minutes flight depending on weather conditions)
  • Coffee & snacks before take-off + refreshments at landing
  • Transfer to Wadi Hawer for canyoning adventure
  • Swim, scramble, and explore waterfalls & natural pools
  • Return to Wahiba Sands
  • Set up camp in a new desert location
  • BBQ dinner & overnight camping under the stars

Day 3 – Morning Desert & Return

  • Breakfast at camp
  • Free time to enjoy the desert atmosphere
  • Pack up camp
  • Return journey to Muscat
