Location

After meeting up with your guide, the trip starts with a stop at a breathtaking spot in the famous Caldera of the island Santorini where you will be introduced to its history and its unique scenery.
Explore the myths and legends of Santorini on a half-day tour of the Akrotiri Excavations, the most well-preserved prehistoric settlement of Santorini and Greece.
Visit the famous Red Beach, covered with red volcanic sand and offers an amazing view of the Aegean Sea. Soaring red lava cliffs which drop right to the sandy shore and into the clear blue sea make for a majestic setting and one to enjoy.

Next, you are off to feel the sand beneath your feet as you visit the famous Black Beach, with its crystal blue waters, on the southeastern coast of the island.

Then you will continue to visit the village of Emporio, the largest village on the island of Santorini. You can look at the historic windmills and have an excellent view of the rest of the island. On the hill above the village, you'll discover both the ruins of Kasteli, a fortress from the Byzantine period and the ruins of Goulas.

Next, enjoy a scenic drive to the top of Santorini, past Pyrgos Village, the Prophet Ilias Mountain, ar 560 mt., offering a unique 360-degree view of Santorini and the Aegean islands. Enter the Holy Monastery and sample the wine, olive oil and honey made by the Monks.
Continue with an optional visit to the Venetsanos winery. Learn the secrets of winemaking and enjoy all the tastes of the famous local wines.

On the way to the Northern part of Santorini, you will make a short stop in Firostefani to see the famous Blue Dome Church, the subject of so many Santorini postcards, and the caldera.

Then you'll visit the traditional village of Imerovigli, which is situated on a higher cliff. In front of the village is an enormous rock called Skaros, which used to be the best spot to look out for pirates.

Continue through the beautiful Santorini countryside to the village of Oia. Built in the northern part of the caldera rim, Oia is the most photographed location in Santorini and a place where many artists have found their inspiration in Oia's beauty, the traditional architecture, and the amazing sunset.
Free leisure time for shopping, refreshments/lunch and the chance to experience one of the world's best sunset (included on the afternoon tour only).
