Waterfall and Cave Day-Trip

1 day | On this day trip discover Nabalesere’s magnificent waterfall and swim in the cool, refreshing waters. Warm-up and relax in the village over a cup of draunimoli and lunch, and then head on and explore the historic caves at Wailotua.

This day trip starts early. From Suva we head up the King’s Road to Nalawa, where we turn inland along an unsealed road to the village of Nabalesere.

At Nabalesere in the foothills of the Greater Tomanivi area we’ll sevusevu and then guides from the village will take us along the 1 km track to the waterfall. Walk under the falls, swim in the pools, and take in the beautiful setting.

We’ll return to the village for a great local lunch before heading back to the main road and driving on down to Wailotua for a tour of the cave and to see the resident bats.

We’ll get back to Suva soon after sunset with hopefully plenty of great photos and some wonderful memories.

There are few proper walking trails in Fiji. Our routes can be rough and muddy. A good level of fitness and a spirit of adventure are musts!
