Transfer from Tirana (Albania) to Podgorica

The transfer from Tirana to Podgorica takes up to 4 hours, depending on the waiting time at the border crossing. This service is not exclusive to our guests; anyone can book a spot. We organize transfers daily, provided that a minimum group of 4 passengers is met. If the minimum group size is not reached, customers will have the option to take a private transfer. If they prefer not to do this, cancellation will be free of charge, and they can choose to take the public bus instead. Montenegro Hostel Travel Agency (a.k.a MH Travel Agency) has been organizing transfers for 15 years and has successfully transported a large number of satisfied passengers. Please note that all transfers (both private and shared) must be completed during the day, as our agency does not offer night transfers. Welcome!
We will cross the border at Božaj (Montenegro) and Hani i Hotit (Albania) according to our itinerary. This border crossing consists of two sections: Montenegrin and Albanian, separated by a distance of 200 meters. During the peak season, especially on weekends, traffic in Albania can become quite heavy, which may lead to some delays.
The International Bus Station in Tirana is quite basic and is located far from the city center. Public buses from Tirana to Podgorica do not stop at the airport or in the city center, resulting in additional costs for passengers (approximately 20-30 euros for a taxi to either the airport or the city center). In contrast, our transfer service picks up passengers directly from the city center at Skanderbeg Square and also offers transport to the airport.
Tirana is known for its heavy traffic jams, especially in the city center. Most accommodations and hotels are situated around Skanderbeg Square, within a 1 km radius, which is about a 15-minute walk. Our transfer service begins at the Toptani Shopping Mall, located next to the Plaza Hotel at Skanderbeg Square. During peak season, traffic at the border and throughout Albania can cause delays of over 2 hours in one direction. For this reason, we monitor border conditions closely. If the wait exceeds 2 hours in one direction, we will adjust the start of the transfer by 2 hours, moving it from 12:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
Guests who book a private transfer (door-to-door) can depart anytime they wish, up to 4:00 PM. The price for the private transfer is based on the car, not per person, and the maximum capacity is four guests. The cost for a private transfer by car from Tirana Airport to Podgorica is 150 euros, while the price from the city center of Tirana to Podgorica is 160 euros.
Guests who book a shared transfer and wish to be dropped off at their address in the city of Podgorica (excluding locations near the city center and the bus/train station) will incur an additional fee of 5 euros for this service. This fee is charged per address, not per person. For example, couples or small groups staying at the same address will pay a total of 5 euros collectively, not individually.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When guests make an online reservation for a transfer, their credit card will be charged automatically only if a minimum of four passengers is reached. If this number is not met, the card will only be authorized but not charged.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached before the departure date, guests will be offered the option of a private transfer for an additional cost. If they decline this offer, cancellation will be free of charge, meaning there is no financial risk in making a reservation.
The price for a car transfer is fixed, meaning there are no discounts for children, except in the case of group transfers.
It's important to note that guests frequently book transfer tickets at the last minute, often 14 to 16 hours before departure. As a result, the minimum number of passengers may be reached during that time.
Once the transfer is confirmed, guests will receive an online ticket along with a detailed email that includes all necessary instructions about the departure point, type of vehicle, name of the driver, phone numbers, and more.
Guests do not need to print the tickets; they can simply keep them on their phones and present them to the driver.
